Default creaking clutch

Just recently my clutch pedal has develop a creaking noise. It was smooth and silent a few days ago. It''s now developed a creaking noise and the feel of the pedal is no longer as smooth. I can feel tiny clicks as I press down, almost like I'm stepping on a rusty spring that isn't smooth. It's intermittent and doesn't always happen.

Has anybody else had this?

Thanks,

Nick.

Could it be the grease on the fork has not withstood the extra heat from your car. There are posts about greasing the fork but you have to use something that can withstand the high temps.

I know someone on here who recently had a failed clutch also complained of similar feeling in the pedal.

The clutch is only a few thousand miles old and it's an uprated Toda. I don't think it's the fork although it wouldn't harm to grease it. I'm sure it's the pedal assembly itself.

That will be me..... get it checked out and if it does need greasing, use very high temp grease.

Ok, looks like I'll be getting my hands dirty this weekend then!

Do I have to bleed the clutch system or will the slave piston push back in if I take the reservoir top off?

Thanks for the help guys

Edit - just realised - do you mean the point at which the fork actually pivots, as in, just inside the bell housing? Would pray grease do the job? How do garages do it?

Thaks for the link! Good guide.

So you think it's that rather than the place where the fork pivots just inside the bell housing?
