creeping forward ( out of gear )

I have a bit of a wierd problem with my 02.

I had the clutch changed 500 miles ago and all has been well until today when I started the car from cold.
I noticed that if I lifed the clutch pedal the car would pull forward while out of gear.
clutch down,ok clutch up, pull forward.

The floor is 100% level so what the hell is going on.

I have also noticed that if I dont drop the cluch when starting the car I get the noise of the starter motor Squaaarrrrk.

Any ideas? this one has be confused.

Seems to me the clutch is still slightly engaged... don't know if there's any way of adjusting this on these cars though

No, some sort of gearbox issue rather than clutch.
Since it happens in neutral the clutch is fully engaged so essentially eliminates the clutch from the problem root cause. As soon as the clutch is being pressed it's disengaging the gearbox hence why it doesn't have a problem when you press the clutch

Somebody else had this recently... :ponder:

The gearbox feels fine, better still since the oil was changed 500 mile ago.
its quite young at 55k so I hope all is ok.

I know another member had this issue but I couldnt find the thread.

I'll gibe TGM a call and see what they have to say.
