Can anyone recommend a good dash cam for our cars, one that still records when car parked, when going to public car park eg, don't trust these places, going on a trip soon so would be good to get some coverage of that also.

I have a Mi-Witness in my Golf, with front and rear cameras and a "Smart Power" unit which will turn the cameras off if the battery voltage drops - there's no point in buying a unit which will record while the car is parked if you get back to it and the battery is flat.

Technology marches on, and you can buy very good cameras quite cheaply now. I've got one of these in my S2000 and the video quality is better than the Mi-Witness.
