Difficult to change gear. Any clutch adjustment?
There's very little travel in my clutch pedal and it's getting very difficult to get it into any gear (particularly 1st). It's a 52 reg with 65k on the clock. Fluid level is fine. Is there usually much clutch adjustment in these (I don't believe it's been adjusted before), or does it look like it'll need replacing?

I don't know what a 52 reg is.
If it is getting hard to get into gear, it is an issue with the clutch not disengaging fully. Sounds more like a slave or master cylinder issue that is preventing it from disengaging the clutch. I would start there.

Is it difficult to change gear when the gearbox is cold? Or does it do it regardless - i.e. also fully warmed up.
Have you tried a gearbox fluid change?

Lubricants should be change when they're at operating temperature. If you can get under the can and have the ability to remove the fill and drain bolts anyone can change the gearbox oil. Car must be level to fill the gearbox and should be to drain it.

I Press my clutch in 2/3 times<with cold engine start & engine running>> to avoid drag issues on cold start,it allows some settlement,<uk is different here from usa>and also gets the oil to All bearings <inc thrust washers>
& yes with my new fitted engine & clutch also.

52 is a late 2002 car for the US home slices
I've never had a clutch issue with mine but it's clearly not disengaging like it should, could be air in it
Always thought the fluid should be on a service schedule, is it much different from brake fluid?
Changing your gearbox oil doesn't sound like it will help a deal to me

I guess this was originally posted on one of the US-centric fora?
Anyway, Sounds like the quite common cylinder problem to me, as suggested by engifineer above.
