Default Disconnecting the alarm

Whilst messing about trying to get my flat battery/non-starting problem solved the alarm keeps going off. Neighbours not too impressed.

I can't find any fuse listed for me to take it out of circuit - is there any way of disconnecting it - and are there any problems associated with doing this - like will it work on re-connection or will I get involved in some alarm related black arts?

just get a new car battery or take it off and fully charge it at least

afaik there is no way to disable it

to disconnect the battery you first disarm the alarm and thats it. it wont go off or work until the battey is reconnected and the alarm set (alarm will bleep when reactivated) but as the immobiliser is part of the alarm you have no choise but to reset the system

if the dash goes v dim, even completly out when cranking then the battery is flat, its enough to start the car but the heavy volt drop will trigger the alarm (i just used to leave the alarm going as it stops after 20 second rather than to retry to restart the car)

are you leaving your car for long periods at a time? this time it can be left will get shorter and shorter as the battery will not get a full charge unless you go for a very very long drive

HTH as i had the same problem

I think you can just remove a fuse, but this will mean you have to lock and unlock with the key. My dealer did this when mine went tits up. Charging the battery should sort it though.

Thanks guys. Yank a fuse eh? Anyone know which? With it not being fitted on the assembly line, it's not in the manual.
