DME rear control arms, any reason not to try these?
So I've been looking at rear 'bump steer' kits for when I get my coilovers fitted.
I've been looking at the usual hardrace but spotted these DME ones:

They look exactly the same and are an off shoot of NRG so not a total cowboy outfit. Any reasons people can think of not to go for them? I notice the are anodised aluminium as opposed to the powder coated steel of hardrace, but other than that they look the same and should do the job just as well right
Cheers

My thoughts were they would be lighter so this is good as they are a suspension component and withstand corrosion better? But wasn't sure if something like strength could be an issue, like you said...

The fact that they are anodised makes me think aluminium and also the DME site says aluminium, so I think just a bit of a screw up in the listing.
Also I see J's and T1R ones are aluminium as well. Might give them a stab, I like the red also

I'm going for red and black with this car
The Hardrace come in at a touch more, they are £200 notes from Funky Power. These, after customs, come in at £160

Well it's some reassurance the Js ones are ally, but they are a component which bears load from the wheels so strength could be an issue if they aren't man enough in diameter. Spoon are steel I think.
I'm sure they will be fine but a snapped toe arm is the one worry I have on circuit.

Before you buy have a look on the whole of the S2KI forum and see if there is any info about failures. I know a few types have failed over the years, mostly to do with the way the joint is welded onto the threaded section.
