Does UK Model AP2 w/ F20C motor have MPH Speedo?
I am interested in swapping the F20C into an AP2 United States model. Problem is, that the US AP2's have always been the 2.2 with the 8K redline on the speedo. Reading through the sites, some posters have stated that the AP2 with F20C in some European/Middle East countries has the button for switching the speedometer to MPH, but it just doesn't work. They say perhaps since those countries use only kilometers anyhow. Now, I know that the UK had the F20C AP2 + you guys are the only other country that uses MPH. Does your speedo on your car allow the speedo to be switched between kilometers and miles per hour? Thanks in advance for helping along my dream project.

Yes just press and hold the button until the read out changes, I would be supprised if Honda went to the trouble of making different gauges.
I think you'd need a new display as you'll need on that shows revs up to 9000rpm.

I'm also unsure if this is all managed within the bezel, or there is a management box externally. And there's the wiring connectors.
Hondas are usually designed to go together one way, or not at all. It stops them accidentally installing the wrong module at the factory.
You might be better switching to a US AP1 instrument set. But I bet that's complicated, too!

Thanks for all the replies guys. As some of you pointed out, it might be easier to just swap in the USDM speedometer from our 00-03 AP1. However, I am trying to get something that seems only available outside the United States - AP2 body, 2.0 liter motor, AND the AP2 style speedo that indicates up to 9000rpm's. Basically I want everything AP2 as it is here in the states except for the motor and 8K redline on the speedo. From the videos I've seen and some research here and there, it appears that the only speedo that would guarantee me being able to accomplish this would have to come from a UK model AP2 with F20C from the factory (04-05 I gather since 06 all AP2's have the 2.2 liter now I've heard). Reason being your AP2 had the 9K redline and your speedos do in fact switch between km and mph like ours here in the states. Guess I'm gonna have to find an excuse to come to England to pick one up!
