Really sad to think like this.. is it the end of the enthusiast car?

I think it might be at the affordable end. Noone dare make something with emissions cheap

You see the FL5 they bumped the price, the GR Yaris went the same way and numbers limited.. everyone else built a ****ing electric thing and sent the world to sleep

As mentioned, GR86 as near as damn it to our wonderful old car. Ok, missing a bit of revs!
$30,000 upwards in the US now for 80k, 05 reg.
I'm not wrapping mine up in cotton wool however, driven in the rain and all through this terrible winter. It's a little solder and just gets on with it.

It's the only car I'm dying to drive, all of the time.
Nothing newer will ever make me feel like that
Values will only ever go one way...

Makes me sad that Ford killed the Fiesta ST (one of the last greatest Fords). Other firms are gradually dialling out the driver (think new Golf R, it's even more computer gamey). The 6cyl/8cl will gradually be phased out for a damn Scalextric motor in almost everything, with built in Location and speed control. Like learner black boxes.
Each year we hear of another few models that have been sent to the cemetery by it's Manu.

Restos however are starting to look interesting...
