Don tends to run the day around what you want. I went there with two mates. One has a Marcos the other a Chimera 500. The overall objective for me was to be able to tell when the car was about to loose traction.
My previous sports car was a Lotus Elan M100 which is about as well behaved car as you can get. So I wanted to learn about rear wheel drive and how it affected the drive.
Don covered how the use of break and accelerator effects the balance of the car and therefore how the tryres are effected and hence traction. I had never done a track day etc so I approached it as a complete beginner, there was no doubt in my mind that by the end of it I was driving far more effectively. He changed the way I sit, the way I used the steering wheel, the manner in which I break and accelerate. Even though it was only Monday I now tend to drive faster but smoother and certainly with more confidence. More importantly I had a great fun day.
The guy with the Chimera had owned his car for a lot longer and was doing other things and far more radical driving techniques.
Dons web page is www.drivingdevelopment.co.uk have a look see what you think.
