Drivers door won't open!
Hi All,
I had the actuator replaced in the passenger door recently, as although I could lock/unlock it with the key, the key fob wouldn't work. It works fine now.
Now the drivers side door won't open with either the key or fob or from the inside!
Someone has mentioned the Solenoid to me?
Does it need another actuator?
Or is it an alarm/immobiliser issue?
Thanks in advance,
PP

The actuator is the solenoid.
If you unlock the interior doorhandle (wedgie in the middle) will the door open? It ought to.
It may be a case that your mechanism is a bit dry, missus. Bit of WD40 followed by lithium grease will cure it. And the voices in the head...

I had a horrible feeling that someone was going to tell me they are one of the same thing!
I can't open it from the inside using the door handle (even when the car is supposed to be unlocked) is this what you mean?
If all I need is a can of WD40, I will be a happy bunny (particularly if the voices cease at the same time )
Thanks
