Default Driving on a space saver...

Okay - so I'm on a space saver for a couple of days until my wheel is sorted.

It's on the front, I keep around 80 kph - is my diff going to go bang if I go back to Wales (160 miles) on it or will it be okay.

Anything else I should know ?

Many thanks

GUY

It can only damage your diff on the back. No other probs I can think of beyond the fact the car must look like crap with it on and you need to be really careful obviously. Another puncture without a spare is the obvious danger that comes to mind!

If the weather is going to be crap, I'd seriously think about getting a wider - remould?- just for the trip. At least you'll have a "spare spare", like what Cedric's concerned about. Honestly, you'll be nervous without one - I did Nottingham to Carlisle on a spare wheel (on an Accord, not the S2) and I kept thinking "What if it goes 'bang'?"

Thanks for the comments chaps. I'll be driving very slowly back to Wales - at least the fuel economy should be good....
