Default Dustless Brake Pads

With occasional use not too worried about brake dust on the alloys of the S.
But seeing how my 140k mile beater silver alloys are in a terrible state, are rust in colour and won't clean up I want to avoid this when my S gets used on a more frequent basis.

The adverts say that 'Red Stuff' pads minimise dust build up although they are meant for those who drive very hard and fast on the road. I wonder if there is a change in the pedal feel.

What do you advise?

Red stuff take longer to get up to temperature so they're not all that great at stopping you when they're cold.

Red stuff are fine at cold use, however I found no improvement with brake dust and even managed to set them on fire.

OK, a third view!....
Red Stuff are fine at cold use, and I do find them a little less dusty than OEM pads!

at the end of the day, all brake pads are gonna leave the dust over the wheels, even if you only use it frequently like me. The only way o protect your wheels is to keep them cleaned up on a regular basis, and treat them every so often with some sort of seal

I agree

Clean the car regularly - brake dust will be gone.

A coat or 2 of wax on the wheels works wonders.
Makes them really easy to clean.

Wheel wax will solve this problem

Redstuff are ok IMO. In terms of brake dust I couldn't tell the difference between them and OEM TBH. I use PB Wheel Sealant which helps though.

I've changed to DS2500 now which are far dustier but the improved stopping power makes it all worthwhile...
