I like hub dyno as they tend to be more repeatable and provide a better comparison.
Well it's one less variable to worry about and one step closer to a bench dyno

If you shop around you can get more horsepower out of your car with the right dyno...

You need to find another DYNO, stock S2K came out of the factory with 238BHP flywheel
No, no they didn't

They came out of the Manufacturers brochure with 237bhp.
I'm not going to quibble over one BHP, but the OP has been told what seems to ma a silly number, if you can't trust the base line how are you going to trust them in the future? My point is go somewhere where you can trust what you are told.

Them figures seem really high, my car was mapped by Romain and made 237.4bhp that's with js mani & decat, mugen ap2 exhaust, spoon throttle body, aem v2 and aem ecu. Didn't make as much power as I hoped but it drives and feels so much better compared to the is ecu.

Dunk figures aren't everything drivability is what you want, figures are just bragging rights.

Yep but you'd be the first to rip someones spelling, grammar etc to shreds but that's a different story.

As for the OP

You've got a baseline now. Stick to the same rollers, albeit slightly happy figures, you'll get to see the improvement between each modding stage.

Even better, buy yourself a GPS device and some data logging software and measure the actual improvements to acceleration each change makes. This'll do you, just connect to a smartphone: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Qstarz-BT-Q8.../dp/B005GDIPMG

Just find a suitable local road and run lots of acceleration tests and then you can measure the results that way. No need for lots of expensive dyno runs (unless you need to measure air/fuel ratios etc)

I made 210 atf on a local dyno with breathing mods (and a massive fan blowing into the engine bay!) and this was perceived as quite good for a 13 year old car. I was actually quite disappointed at the time.

I've enjoyed the car more since the bushes and suspension were replaced as everyday driving is now great fun and safe now. Just be mindful that it's easy to keep adding more stuff, pushing the numbers, and then one day thinking, "what have aI done...." Eitherway, enjoy the bitch!

No, you missed what I was on about completely! They came out of the brochure with that power figure but they never made it, even when new

It's on the high side, but at the end of the day use it as a tool for you before and after.

My standard run was done at Powerstation, seemed pretty accurate but as has been said, rolling roads should only ever be used as a tool.
