EBC Turbo Grooved Vs EBC Ultimax

Hi there,

Guys I need as many quick responses as possible to this as need to order tomorrow... EBC turbo grooved brake discs or EBC Ultimax discs? For use on the track. Apologies for the urgency but just seen a tiny crack in my disc so replacing with a set asap and getting my money back for the others. Thanks guys.

Get your money back, stick bremtech blank discs on and save up for dixcel

Some standard mintex replacements or similar will be fine for track.

I'm a little worried about using standard discs as I think they will get to hot and so both pad and disc will suffer as a result maybe? I'm instructing an up and coming racer and so obviously will be on the brakes hard all the time. Do you use them on the track then? I use yellow stuff pads already.

Again, you think blank discs are good enough and wouldn't suffer during high heat?

Dixcel are race tried and tested, its where my pennies go for faultless reliability.

They wouldn't be any hotter than the EBCs, in fact, could well be cooler....

Overheating is as much a pad issue as it is a disc issue in my experience. Blank discs and ds2500 pads should see you ok, but get confirmation from the track whores. As mb says, dixcel are the way to go for a lot of hard track use. A cool down lap is always a good move too

DS2500 have cracked quite a few discs on here. Good pad though!

Ok cheers guys, looking at the dixcels now.. and then at the bank account! Have any of you used DS2500's and yellow stuff? Be good to know what experiences people have had. I've always been an EBC man and had no problems up to now.
