Electrical Problems after the meet...
I had a few gremlins with the S2000 after hitting the M5 on Sunday. When AnDy came up behind, gesturing (I guess - one arm out of the window...) I was slowing down.
I had 4 bars blinking on the temperature gauge. Never constant, but just coming on every so often. I pulled into the services, checked the oil, coolant level etc. I'd Vtec'ed a little oil into the Cotswolds, but couldn't find anything wrong. So I continued home doing a "Car with Caravan, not a S2000" impression. Watched biker1 go past on the M42 later on.
Anyway, I had the car checked yesterday - diagnosis was a bad electrical connection. This is the second electrical problem I've had - the engine was going past 6000rpm before, but not changing cam profile.
I guess I've a S2000 built when the electrical guys were doing there best impression of 70's British Leyland workers
Still, I'm glad the cars fine

In the same vein:-
Has everyone seen Greggs thread about checking spark plugs are in tight! Seems one plug worked it's way out completely and another was nearly out.... Wrecked engine as a result being replaced under warranty
Some people who've checked theirs as a result of Gregg's problem have found loose plugs as well! It's thought some plugs are not getting properly torqued at Togichi in the first instance!
I'm checking mine today!!!!

There had been posts in the past about loose spark plugs. But Greg's the first I think to really suffer.
I'm going to check mine later today. I've already been round checking every other connection
The only other thing I had was the positive terminal cover on the battery wasn't fitting right. It looked like it might wear into the sound proofing under the bonnet. I'm going to keep an eye on that.... if the positive terminal wore through to the negative earth bonnet....
BTW the thread is here: Greg's Spark Plug coming out woes....
