Engine block lower crank ladder Question

Engine block lower crank ladder Question
Hello,
Is the Crank ladder (lower part of the block) Interchangeable with other engine blocks?
Its just i have a good block with a damaged lower crank ladder casing and i have a bad block with a good lower crank ladder casing.
So was obviously looking to swap them over to make a good engine out of 2!
Or are they specific to the engine block (i'm guessing they would be line bored)
Even if i checked all the bearing clearances and found them okay?
Or would it be more the crank not being central if a different crank ladder was used?
Any help would be much appreciated!
thanks!

I don't have direct knowledge of F20C engines but............
It is similar to an engine I had a lot of experience of and that style of engine is normally machined as a matched pair to get the correct crank bore geometry. Change it and you'll likely have roundness/concentricity type issues between the two. That said if you've nothing to lose by having the two you could give it a try. If everything turns freely once it is tightened up you may have dropped lucky
