Thanks guys,
leaning towards just changing the engine and box mounts as the steady to me feels like its masking a mount issue.

What do peple recommend mount wise? i dont mind stiffness, even though its a daily driver i do track it as often as i can.

I found it made shifts smoother but didn't simulate anything like an uprated engine mount which is, to a degree what i was expecting.

I have since then added the Blox engine mount rings and WOW! now that was a difference! The gear changes are astonishing!
The downside is that i have now entered the becauseracecar situation - not appropriate for traffic...

There's nothing quite like the person offering pointless critique of grammar being brought down a peg.

Does this mean the gear changes weren't very smooth/Rev matched and the jolting was decreased by fitting new mounts/ETD...

Just a note: when i was changing my enigne mounts i researched a fair few brands. I went with innovative which are a total waste of money. I then bought spoon that are the dogs bollocks, especially when matched with the spoon trans brace.

I read several reviews re the megan racing mounts, the impression i got was that they be great for track but for daily they cause silly amounts of vibration.

I have one installed. I didn't want to, I only needed it to help my PLM manifold clear the steering column.

My opinion is that it actually helped throttle response rather than anything else and I intend to find a way to fit a similar item to each of my cars when possible. Relatively low-cost effective tweak and the improvement in throttle response was well-received.

I would put this in the same category as a master cylinder brace. It's one of those items that gives you just a smidge more feedback in a welcome area.

Hope that helps.

I had one for a while. I can't say I really noticed much difference so it was removed.
