Quite - which is the reason i only ordered the screw on bit and reused the rest of the old one. As i said, i only noticed it was broken because i'd noticed a slight loss of coolant in the tank ( i do keep an eye on this stuff) - just glad it's a piece of broken plastic and not a leak somewhere more expensive.

The tank sees pressure simply by the fact that it is a pressure relief mechanism for the coolant system. If old enough, it can fail due to heat cycles and the pressure; I have had one rupture in this fashion and the coolant all over my engine bay at the time could attest to the pressure the tank was seeing.

Do you have any further details or links for this? It's exactly what I'm after.

there was a guy making them in two versions of mounts ...one that uses factory bracket (i have that one) and one that bolts on directly to rail. Also option with sight glass and without (i have that one as i didnt want to deal with any more leaks ever again).

i will look thru my old emails and try to find it for you...

EDIT: got it from Moddiction ...together with convex blue mirrors...

I've seen the Moddiciton one but only combined with a catch can, pretty pricey as well.
I think this is the source Schmuck Built LLC – Performance Automotive Fabrication and Design
They seem to have a round version now though.
