Failed MOTemissions
#13
Problem sorted. Re-fitted the original ECU and the car sailed through the Mot, the mechanic said the readings were 'textbook' I don't think things have been right since the AEM was fitted by a 'specialist' that I won't name but they are in Warrington!!!
Must thank you guys who offered advice.

Hi Phil,
Good news on passing.
I assume you had the ecu tuned when installed. Its not difficult to set the afr's to 14.7 around the mot test rpm/load area of the map, the mot fail data you posted showed the mixture to be rich which also explains the extra fuel you are using.

No way am I going back to driving the car as it was with the AEM, far too rich for my liking and I worry about bore wash. I'd like to take it somewhere else next time but we are not well positioned for tuning specialists up here, tractor's are more the thing.
Anyway, it starts well and runs well again so the Stag can stay in the garage for the trip up to Perth, "thank God" says the wife she loves the Honda even
on Oulton Park! Quite game for an old bird

Go see EFI-Parts, they are just south of manchester. He tunes AEM and has done 2 of our s2000's which has hks superchargers fitted. Top bloke, knows his s**t and doesn't lock your ECU after
