Favourite car movies?
What are your favourite car movies? You don't have to actually name a movie which is about cars, it could include a cool car chase (eg, Bullitt).
My favourites are:
1) Gone in 60 Seconds (re-make)
2) Two-Lane Blacktop
3) Mad Max
4) Thunderbolt (Jackie Chan)
5) Goldfinger (for the most famous car in the world!)
I've not seen The Fast and the Furious yet. It may well appear on my future Top 5.....

Here is a good list of movies I found while trying to find the title of my pick for best car movie...
The movie is "rendevous". It is a short film I saw back in a film lit class in high school. Some director strapped a camera to his ferrari and drove through downtown paris at full speed in the early morning. Something like the video floating around on the internet of someone running from the cops in Stockholm in their old 911 turbo. Anyone seen it or even heard of it? Really cool short film, I would love to find a copy of it somewhere.

"Vanishing Point"
Cult 70's road movie where a guy with a fcuk-authority attitude drives a Dodge Challenger (beautiful V8 sound) across the US. No-one seen it?
He has a minor brush with the law which escalates and develops into a full blown high speed chase, monitored by a black DJ on a Radio Station. Ends up with the cops setting up a road block using a massive bulldozer which he deliberately slams into at 130 mph - with a full crowd of onlookers.
and then, of course, there's "Duel"
