Where's the chap saying he'd never seen an accident on track and why would you want insurance..
To be fair to Tim S what he stated is true in my experience. Without knowing the full details of the MX5 crash you cant really say that trackday insurance would of been worth it.

Im yet to see a car on car crash and im pretty sure this javelin trackday was on an Airfield so you would have to do alot to get a car to flip on to its roof. Obviously i dont know what happened in the crash but if your driving on the ragged edge all the time during a trackday then your pushing your luck and crash will happen but 99% of people go there for abit of fun and then want to drive home in one piece at the end of the day.

Trackday insurance isn't just for car on car crash though, it'll pay for your car only, which seems handy when you've rolled it.

My point on the other thread was that rolling/crashing the car is largely within your own control.

Hope the MX5 passenger was OK. Earlier MX5s did't have roll hoops as standard.

My daughter did her second trackday on sat 12th and she managed to spin car off track and across the grass, what i wasnt prepared for was the stopping force of my body against the passenger door, think i need some seats and 4 point harnesses.

But she is learning loads hopefully.

The mx5 guys i mentioned earlier in this post are both fine

Also georgina (daughter) had a go round as passenger in a full track prepared evo lucky sod, when she came back in she said "f**k we need to sell that s2000" i said no chance.

ginger

sorry still no pics will try next time.
