Fitted new Hood never again
Hi I have fitted a new hood this week with complete with frame and would never attempt it ever again. I now have huge respect to the Monsoon guys and other installers like them as it is not easy if you are 6ft 2 like me. Jackie Chan would have done it no problem the job itself is not difficult to work out you just need to be extremly small. My S2000 looks so much better now with the glass window and was worth the pain and effort.

i am almost about to tackle this job
I have to remove 2 roofs, bin one of them and fit the other
is it really so hard?
any good accurate write ups?
how much time do you think it will take?

yep same story here... tips would be appreciated.
Also who did you buy the roof replacement from? Did it include the frame or not and also if you had the roof delivered did they pacckage it well. Some idiot sent me one a couple months back and wrapped it in a little bubble wrap and surprisingly the window smashed...

Honestly...at 5ft 11 I swapped my old AP1 roof for one with a glass screen and it was easy - YES easy.
A bit time consuming - on my own I did it over two days and it took me about 4 hours on the first day and about 3 hours on the second. The only time I needed a second person was to lift the new roof onto the car and hold one side whilst I started bolting it in...my mum was standing by my side for all of 10minutes supporting one side of the roof.
This was on my own at home on my driveway.
Do not be intimidated by this job if you are a bit savvy with tools...just take it apart from the front (starting with the seats) to the back and then line the whole thing up and install from the back going forward...its pretty obvious once you start dismantle.
I had absolutely no problems BUT you will need plenty of patience.
I didn't even use the guide - it was all pretty obvious once I started working through it.
If anyone in the south east of England wants help... I quite enjoyed it all lol
