Timing Chain Tensioner, also known as a TCT

The symptom of this problem is a rattle from then engine bay (sounds like a card in bicycle spokes and tends to only happen when the engine is warm).

This thread explains the problem and various fixes for it https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/808...ent-or-repair/

In addition to that, a Forum Favourite is the Ballade Sports TCT http://www.balladesports.com/product...hain-tensioner

An expensive fix is to replace the Timing Chain, Sprocket, Guides and Tensioner. This is very expensive in both parts and labour. For more info, please see here: https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/865...t__p__20614912
