Default Forum Favourites - Tyres, Oil, Brakes, TCT etc

This thread aims to summarise what the current "Forum Favourites" are for various common items. Essentially it is a simple summary of the things that lots of people are using and would recommend to others.

Note that no guarantees or formal approval/endorsement are given by S2KI.

So you would like something added to the lists, please send me a PM or post in this thread, which we'll use to get things off the ground: https://www.s2ki.com/...rum-favourites/

For loads more detail than is given here, please refer to the Technical FAQ Sticky: Technical FAQ

Timing Chain Tensioner, also known as a TCT

The symptom of this problem is a rattle from then engine bay (sounds like a card in bicycle spokes and tends to only happen when the engine is warm).

This thread explains the problem and various fixes for it https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/808...ent-or-repair/

In addition to that, a Forum Favourite is the Ballade Sports TCT http://www.balladesports.com/product...hain-tensioner

An expensive fix is to replace the Timing Chain, Sprocket, Guides and Tensioner. This is very expensive in both parts and labour. For more info, please see here: https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/865...t__p__20614912
