I was the same, I didnt know a grate deal about going f/i but there are lots of people with loads of knowledge to help out. Not sure on the traction control with the aem, if you couldn't get it to work you could all ways use racelogic t/c.

You won't want to use launch control without upgrading your driveshafts and diff. I have proper launch control on the motec and its an amazing feeling. Got to fine tune it still a bit as it allows a bit too much slip.

Good luck with your build.

They were, they sat in my garage for over a year, I wasn't using them. I did see them come up for sale again on ebay a couple of years ago.

I bought them for less than £700 .... and sold them for £1k.

Thanks for all your words of encouragement and offers of help guys.. It really reinforces just how good this forum is!

So I'm popping into the body shop tomorrow to drop off a set of new anodised bolts and will get some decent snaps of the paint.

I do have a couple of urgent parts to soruce and would appreciate your input -

Head bolts -

I have always used APR bolts in my previous car builds, just because of their amazing reputation. I am trying to locate some in readiness for next week but striking out as all I can find are US based retailers.

A) Does anyone know a UK stockist?
B) Has anyone done a head change and either reused the OEM studs or used another manufactures bolts and then gone on to boost?

Clutch kit

Again I need this pretty soon so that I can land the engine back in next weekend. I have budgeted £450 for whole set (also need new baring). I appreciate there are already allot of historic posts on this topic but that's the issue, there's almost too many opinions.. The only uprated kits I can find in my budget are Competition (read allot of horror stories) or unknown brands..

I suppose you get what you pay for.. For the potential of 350whp should I up my clutch budget or has anyone got a kit recommendation for me?

I think Blue Monster (Martin), is using a SOS sport clutch. He has around 450bhp and he rates that clutch highly, not sure on price but I don't think it was that expensive?
