Default Fuel preservatives

Hi all.
just seeking advice, have read in different places that a fuel preservative should be used if storing a vehicle over winter, what do you all think of this in a S2000 ?

just use the car when its dry roads & not rain or snow salted roads.
or fill full of fuel to avoid moisture.

I imagine just storing it with not much in would be best as the petrol will go off a bit

having said that my mower always starts after winter. But doesnt rev to 9k

Doesn't hurt but not really needed, just fill it up completely to minimize the water condensation.

Sta-Bil (brand) stabilizer is in the 10 gallons of 89 octane gas in cans in my shed. Lawn equipment and generator. I run all these engines completely out of fuel for winter storage. Two gallons of stabilized 93 octane as an emergency fill for the S2000. This goes in the mowers if not used in a couple of months and replenished. Not sure why I have spare fuel for the Honda, but I do.

Severe winters in Cleveland with my S2000 stored on my lift in my attached garage with a dose of Seafoam in the gas worked fine for me. Honda recommends a monthly start and run to operating temperature (two fan cycles) so I did that as well. On the lift I also ran her thru all 6 gears at idle speed to distribute oil to the gearbox and differential without taking her out in the brine on the roads. Hint: If you run a late model on the lift turn vehicle stability assist Off and don't turn the steering wheel. VSA will freak out with the rears spinning and the fronts stationary. The EPS will also freak and need to be reset if you turn the steering wheel with the front wheels off the pavement.

Here in Richmond the car is not really stored and gets driven every couple of weeks during the winter season so she just gets normal 93 octane gas.

I have stored mine over winter since September 06 and I have never used a fuel preservative and the car has always started within a few seconds of pressing the start button. I fill the tank up to the very top with fuel to ensure that all the air is out of the tank to try and minimise the chance of corrosion in tank. When I come to start the car I squirt a shot of engine oil into the bores and turn the engine over in short bursts until the oil pressure light goes out so the engine is well lubricated. I leave the plugs out but connected and earthed to discharge the high voltage to prevent any damage that might occur to ignition components.
