My car has just tipped over 30k and is due its 4 year, 36k service.

Is it worth getting the gearbox and diff oil changed? If so is there any particular brand of oil which is best to use that I can supply the garage with?

for the price of it you might as well do it .its not going to hurt some new oil in there.i took advice from a previous thread buying oils from the oilman.i got
Motul 90 pa limited slip(lsd) extreme pressure 1 litre for the diff at approx 15 quid
Motul gear 300 75w-90 racing gearbox and differential 100%synthetic ester based 2 litres for the gearbox approx 30 quid
Not really noticed a difference but like the idea of new oils though

I change mine once a year, purely because I liked to know I got new oil in there.

Your diff fluid should have been changed at the last service .... so if it wasn't do it at this one! Otherwise I'd leave it in more than a year unless you are really hammering it.

Gearbox is a whopping 8 years, i'm going to do mine at 5 years. (probably should have done it at 4 to keep things simple).
