Not as expensive as writing another off and it will mean you can enjoy the car

IIWU, change the tyres for some decent ones (plenty of threads to recommend some), and get the ride height/damping/Geo checked with a reputable company such as Center Gravity, TGM, DMS, WiM etc.

Damn, i was hoping to get the Geo done and keep the tyres for a while (since they are brand new) but you all reckon i should replace them asap! Aaargghhhh...should i at least keep them for track use or something?
How much will the Geo set me back you reckon?

If they are no good for the road, they'll definitely be no good for track work.

Geo costs will depend on how many seized bolts you have. Have a search for 'seized bush' to read up on the implications, which could be costly. There is a good chance that the previous owner did not have the alignment setup correctly after fitting the BCs due to seized adjuster bolts/bushes. If all is well, a decent Geo will set you back anything from £80-£200, with the top end of the market giving you a Geo setup based on how you drive the car, and what you require of it.

Where are you in the country?

You should come along to the Rutland Water Meet, have a look in the meets section for details.
