The good news....
I have just read that Honda are ending production of their NSX, there will be 12 special color versions in the UK for sale and a special presentation in November. Apparently Honda are developing a new version later on.
Monte Blu 52 P.S. Those of you who would like to visit Trafficmaster, the date will be August 14th 2005. |
Think that's the third time that's been posted this week :)

And Honda are discontinuing production of the NSX at the end of this year!
|
TORRANCE, Calif. 07/11/2005 -- To further enhance the division's performance image, Acura is developing a new sports car to succeed the award-winning NSX supercar. Acura also announced that production of the current generation NSX will cease at the end of the year due to the extensive retooling necessary to meet stringent 2006 emissions and equipment regulations for the U.S., Europe and Asia.
"We are committed to having an ultra high-performance vehicle in the Acura lineup in the future," said John Mendel, senior vice president, automobile operations. "It's too early to comment on specifics, but the all-new model will be just as groundbreaking as the 1991 NSX." (Honda US dealer release, purloined from the Temple of VTEC) Just to emphasise it ain't all bad! |
I don't know if anyone has heard, but i think Honda are stopping the production of the NSX later this year.. sad day... takes out onion... Enough NSX obituaries - Ed. Seriously though, it is sad. A great car despite looking dated for the last five years. Come on Honda - replace it with something that makes all those 'supercar' manufacturers shiver. |

Come on Honda - replace it with something that makes all those 'supercar' manufacturers shiver. Personally, I think the car has a sort of timeless appeal, but I think I prefer the pop-ups to the fixed lights. See my separate thread re Acura's press release. (I hadn't spotted anyone multiple-post that bit!) Do I rush out & buy one or wait? |
What is the position as regards discounts on nsx now their end of line?
|
arent pop up h/l's not allowed on cars any more?
|
All honda models are going the same way. The new Civic's (Type R and Type RR) will come along and then in the next 18 months everything else will be replaced.. Say bye bye to the S too folks. evolution..
