H-Tune
Anybody heared anything on the grapevine about H-Tune/Motorspec ? they have had £1900 of my cash since November for something for delivery early December. Wouldn’t give a refund when this slipped to the 8th Jan. now gone to the 23rd. Getting the run around and they are not on-line or available by phone today!

Generally a good site/seller and I’ve bought a lot from them without problems, but you do have to be very savvy with their estimated delivery times.
Even when you pay more for speedy delivery it doesn’t always materialise. Their semi automated system of emailing delivery dates should be taken with a pinch of salt, and wait until you get the text from DPD confirming your parcel is en route, then you know it really is.
i think they have a far-reaching network of suppliers but very little residual stock in their own control, hence they are at the mercy of other distributors and couriers etc.

Öhlins DFV coilovers for our cars are made in Japan, 5-7 days is probably when they are in stock here in the EU.
They made some changes on the kits not that long ago so maybe that's the reason they been out of stock.

I didn’t think Ohlin had a facility in Japan and when I said so to H-Tune they said they didn’t know either and that they were buying through a supplier anyway. After I complained when their dispatch date went to the 8th Jan. they pulled a non existent rabbit out of the hat and said the 2nd Jan, What really bugs me is the lack of transparency and that I could have had the same product at the same price from Si at Hendy’s in 3 days. Should have been more thorough when searching Hendy’s site!

I've heard this complaint before, but cannot specifically remember if it's H-Tune.
The usual story is that they often buy from Japan, and their suppliers are notorious for lack of communication and under/late delivery.
I've had similar when buying direct from Japan, but stuff does turn up unannounced by the time you've given up hope...

Thanks ,I believe, due to the efforts of a fellow Honda enthusiast I have just received an email from H-Tune agreeing to refund my money. Hopefully this will happen quickly so that I can re-order elsewhere. Thank you all for your comments.
