Default Handy fuel search website

Came across this this evening - you can select your area, and even highlight the Garage of your choice (Shell, BP etc).

Fuel station search

Doesn't distingush Optimax though.
(although I am currently creating a database of all Optimax stations in Scotland - and there are at least 89)

euan,
There's also a TomTom POI data base of fuel stations.
The layout is ...
Location____Longitude _____ Latitude
..A390______-4.65128 _____ 50.40789

There's also an editing tool called POI Edit it's free.

Don't know if this is the direction you're thinking about.
I used the LPG stations a lot and it helped me navigate to one in an area I didn't know.

Cheers Allan

That's why I started the Optimax database beacause you can do your own database in TomTom format and load them as POIs (I have got POI edit).

I loaded on the Shell database that someone has done for TT, but turns out it is only stations in England (and not all of them by the looks of things).

I used this to find all the Optimax stations in Scotland (although it is not comprehensive from experience) to make up the database - and then plugged the postcodes into multimap to get the Lat & Long ..........

now have to convert to POIs............

The Optimax search tool is good. I use it whenever travelling anywhere I don't know the garages. It does get a few wrong though.
