ive just bought an 2004 with a Hard Top, great condition, 73K. Relatively rare pensioner Blue. Brand new soft top.

Cost 7K - I thought that was a very good deal, it came onto the dealer website and i put down a deposit within about 1 hour of it being live.

I spent around at least 3 months looking before i bought. Some examples were massively over priced IMO. Honda wanted £11k for a 2006 with 60K and NO HT - Just keep searching, you'll find a good one eventually.

Key is not to buy too quickly. I test drove two before buying mine.

No you have't, there are no AP2's in the UK
Is that so? I had no idea, I'm still learning. A lot of what I've read is from the non-UK portion of the forum. So if I see 2005-2009 models for sale in the UK, they're AP1's? Or are they known as something else?

To everyone else: thanks for all your replies. I didn't get any notifications, so only just saw them - need to sort out my forum preferences.

Test driving a 2002 (52) GT with factory hard-top on Saturday, going for £6800, with 77k miles on the clock. Sounds really good on paper, so fingers crossed.
compare that to my details above, 2 years newer (look much better after 2004 imo) with lower mileage for £200 more.... No brainer.

Keep looking......... (or haggle hard)

I suppose you get three cars in one, but you do have to keep your ear.

well as far as i'm aware there were never any UKDM 2.2s so your's i assume must be an import/LHD?

But may well be wrong, wouldn't be the first time!
