just spoke to autoshades, they seemed a bit reluctant to tell me the percentages, but she did:
dark 5%
midnight 15%
medium 20%
light 35%
very light 50%
so medium is 20% and light is 35%
the 20% i've seen though looks pretty much black so a bit confused now!

I had 30% stuff on my crx and that's darker than either ones on my s2k...
Although the back window is pretty dark, so maybe she's right afterall
Bit weird she didn't want to tell you as they have a big board inside their shop explaining all the tints and %s!
Where abouts are you?

i'm in lincolnshire, so no where near you unfortunately otherwise i'd say about meeting up. i've got my car booked in on friday to get the back window tinted, if all else fails i'll show them your pics and say "do that"
are you sure yours isnt light on the rear and very light on the sides? or both the back and sides "light" ? on the first pic you posted the back and sides look pretty much the same tint

I'm sure about it being medium on the back and light on the sides, I was contemplating between very light and light on the sides when I had it done and after seeing some examples I decided very light was too light.
You're right there's not much difference in sides and back, which I guess would mean it doesn't really matter which one you choose as it wil always look good

On a serious note though I don't think it's any darker than Win's tbh, just the angle of the photo makes it look black. You may find that the S's windows have a factory light tint and any extra you put on will be enough to make it illegal. But I hope you get the right tint for your car though.
