Has anyone swapped a boot over on an S?

Just wondering if anyone has swapped a boot lid over on their S for a replacement for any reason?

If you have can you post how long it took and how hard you found it?

Was there much of a problem with the electrical components?

Thanks
:)

Just the boot lid? I've done it 20/30 times .. I've a CF one too.

It's 4 bolts, a few clips and the metal springs.

The light is 4/5 bolts .. and the lock is 2 or 3.

30min job if you take your time. It's so easy it's silly.

Best get a mate to hold it while you do up the bolts though.

:iagree: done it once

I've done it on a few cars; helps if you have four hands.

It only takes a while to get the panel fit perfect.

Thanks for that!

Don't you have to watch out for the spring rods, can be a little naughty?

Leave those well alone! They can be nasty.

Ahh, I've dealt with these before when changing them due to the spoiler, definitely keeps your hands out the way!

Just wanted to double check - any specialist tools required or strange size bolts? Looks like I've got a buyer and we're meeting half way just want to make sure I take the right tools.

Thanks

nope .. a standard socket set will be enough.
