To be fair to Flux, I had a total loss 10 years ago and it was dealt with perfectly. I believe I was getting better service then than I am with these bargain basement mainstream outfits dominating these days.

I got a cracking deal with Flux this year, with all mods declared. Also an agreed value well above my expectations.

I was with Hastings for a year, best price for me. Didn't have to claim, not heard good things about them when you do have to though. I cancelled within 14 days (day 13) of my second year with them as I bought a japanese import which they don't insure (subaru legacy gt) ,and they refunded me the whole amount no issue, so that was nice.

my hastings renewal just came through - £20 a month. 50p cheaper than my current payment. So will let the auto renew happen.

Been with them for a few years now, cheapest I could find. " A summary of your details
Cover type: Comprehensive
Renewal date: 16th March 2019
No claims discount: 9 or more years"

Great news, we've lowered the cost of your insurance
Total annual price £169.64

I went with them, initial price was £120 lower than renewal cost and even adjusting the value of the car from their figure to mine I ended up saving about a £100, I’m lucky now my premiums are low- age, postcode, miles per year- time will tell.

Be careful with Flux. I have used them previously, but the reviews they get when you need to claim are not great. But, what was the final straw for me was the way they rip you off with humungous premium call rates (which I only realised later when checking my mobile phone bill). Unacceptable - ripping folk off with outlandish call rates when phoning them on their headline contact number. Edit: this was a couple of years ago, so things may have changed - but suffice to say I won't be using them again!

Hi Rich
I had quite a few questions for them when I switched to them (foreign use being one of them !) but communicated by email and they responded pretty much every time within 24 hours. And didn't cost anything. Flux is a broker so depends on which insurer they place you with as to what service you'd get in the event of a claim. Fingers crossed that won't happen.
