Misfires and advice
Just looking for some friendly advice or thoughts on a problem i have with my 05.
EML light came on and it's throwing up random misfires on all cylinders.
Car was due an mot and service and also a new clutch was due to be fitted.
Car was dropped in to my mechanic and he has checked compression, plugs, coil packs etc etc with no joy and now thinks it could be the injectors but no guarantee.
The car has 117,000 on the clock so the issue i face is the repair bill could now approach 1800 pounds or more to get all the work done. (injectors,clutch,mot,service etc).
Do i sell the car as is and how much would it be worth?, or do i pay for the work to be done and keep the car.

Coil packs.
Coil Packs.
O2 / lambda sensors
Knock sensor
Shit fuel
Bad plugs
Dead / loose / blocked cat.
Coil packs.
Map sensor
if it's a facelift ... check the connection to the cam sensor on the back of the rocker cover and make sure its not loose.
So i'd pick up a good set of 2nd hand coils and check the plugs and start from there.
