Exclamation Headlights - very confused!

Hey!

Posted in the normal forum, now in here as people are just ignoring it!

So recently I had a small accident! Because of this I needed a new headlight (car is an 03)

So went to fit it, change over ballast etc, however the the new light looks to have a manual level adjuster. Is this me being stupid or do certain lights come with a manual adjuster?

The marking on the light are also different (new one is JJ, old ones are EE)

Could someone give more detail on this? What different lights are there other than just AP1/AP2?

Cheers

Make sure you transfer across the stepper motor from the old headlight - depending on what you ordered you may not have gotten it. Part 11/12 here:

Hey,
Thanks for the swift reply!
The headlight i purchased does not seem to have a mounting for this, is this me being blind or do some lights not have a stepped motor?

Also thanks for telling me what this part is actually called!

From an EU perspective, they all need to be self-leveling, as such, they'll all have a stepper (adjustment motor). But, depending on what you ordered, it may not be included. Where did you get the replacement headlight from?

Conveniently, there's pictures of lights for sale in the section below. Take a look at the back:

(Not sure if I can post this above, I'm not selling these, but the pictures are useful!)

Hey, sweet! I thought so, just do not know enough about lights!
Its an ebay job sadly!
Okay looking at the picture it looks like only one side has a stepper? is this correct? if so it could be that I've been sold LHD lights?

Both sides should have stepper motors. Does it look like one could be fitted?

Our American friends, didn't get levelers as part of their S2000 - not sure about the Japanese.

If they are from LHD (even if EU) they'll never align regardless, as the beam pattern will be pointing in the wrong direction

Not sure of JJ - (JDM?) but if European headlights, there are supposed to have an E marking where type approval was granted. As such you might see an E + number with it. e.g. E1 or whatever.
