Default Help Alloy surface is Flaking away! Refurb?

Hi

All the alloys on my 2002 S are now looking awful. The surface is just flaking away and looks as if all the alloys have been badly scuffed all over.

Is the best option to go for a refurb? If so does anyone know of anywhere in the east midlands, Im based in Boston Lincolnshire.

Please if anyone knows or has had experience with a wheel refurb in the area id appreciate the info.

Also toying with the idea of having them redone in black chrome, as thought it would look nice against the silverstone, any thoughts? Basically wanted to get something different if im gonna shell out

Lap-Tab in Birmingham are good and about in your price range. They used to claim they could turn them around in a day for you whilst you spent your time in town so may be worth the drive.

Simonprelude had a set of the 16" OEM wheels refurbed in Black Chrome.

It looked good on his Silverstone.

i'm in the same boat. my brother used a place to do his wheels on my old vx calibra and the finish was no more than OK so I wouldn't recommend them.

i think powder coating is the way to go.. pie n chips did his wheels in anthracite on a silverstone and it looked but he flogged them at xmas when i'd just paid my insurance and was skinter than Georgey Best

They also give discount to S2KUK members

Where are you based?

Brass neck it with your dealer. I have ones on an '00 replaced by Honda in '04 so it's worth a punt....

I've seen a few sets of wheels done at Lap-Tab, all were superb. Mine are going there in a few months.
