Help! Berk hi-flow cat won't pass MOT?!
As the title suggests, I've just got back from my MOT and to my surprise my Berk hi-flow cat didn't pass on CO2 emissions?!? I gave it a good run on the way to the garage to get it nice and hot, but still was waaay off passing.
So, this is an appeal for help in the Bristol area. Does anyone have a spare OEM cat I can borrow/buy cheap for my re-test BEFORE Monday!?
Crossing my fingers and praying!
Thanks,
Grant.

Sounds like you may have other issues tbh - I've had a berk hi-flow for about 5 years now and it's passed every emissions without issue.
May be wise to do a couple of other checks - air filter, sparks, etc to ensure the engine is breathing correctly and not running overly rich.

Cheers, I have also been thinking it could be something else! The sparks are new and the air filter is in tip top shape. What else do you think could be the issue? Anyone have any ideas?

I'm not familiar with the UK MOT, do you get a printout with the measured emission readings and the max limits?
The cat cools down rather quickly if you have the car sit for a while, when I did my inspection I had to go on a second run and drive it really hard then go right back to the measuring.

For a high CO reading I'd look for a dodgy injector, a misfire/dirty plug/dodgy coil, failed MAP sensor or maybe an under-reading coolant temp sender (the secondary o2/lambda sensor should pick up an issue with the cat if there is one)
Do you have anything like Torque for Android you can plug in - sometimes it can help to look at the Short and Long term fuel trims
I've resisted saying that my Berk has been fine for the three MOTs since fitting - oops, my bad
