Default help diagnosing a couple of issues (maybe)

Evening all. Just wondering if you lot can help me diagnose a couple of things that are bothering me.

First up is a violent backlash when coming off throttle. This is most annoying when spirited driving as it unsettles the car a bit. When coming off the throttle it feels as though the drivetrain rocks briefly. Very mechanical sound associated with it as well.

Second is shifting sometimes when I take my foot off the clutch (semi spirited, not in vtec) there is a loud thud and it feels as though something is going to fall out of the gearbox, vtec shifts are fine though.

Could those two be related?

Then there is an annoying vibrating type noise I can hear from inside. Its a kind of warble type vibration I can hear, you can hear it slow down when shutting the engine off.

Lastly I checked my compliance bushes yesterday and I noticed one is quite badly split, will this cause the front end to feel less direct/tramline more/loose or all of those things?

Any help appreciated folks.

My compliance bushes had seized last September & we replaced them earlier this year and I never experienced anything like you are describing

I would say the driveline is very tight in the S so something is wrong. Check all mounts on engine and box.

Wonder if the diff is happy? How many miles?

There is a bit of backlash in the drive trian , and myself certialy not being the smoothest of drivers and occasionally cursed by a less than sympathetic right foot can make my car's drive train hunt a bit.

The poor conditon compliance bushes wlll not the general feel of the car especially when inputs change from neg to pos and vis a vis.

But that said maybe a check of all the joints in the drive train , prop shaft , drive shafts , diff mounts , diff back lash etc etc , oh are ur hub nuts tight just a thought.

All the little maintenance jobs such as the hub nut torque etc I have done. Car is at 76k miles now. To me it feels like certain parts have detiorated making the car feel a bit numb and loose. Its just finding which parts. The compliance bush split I dont associate with the jerkiness at all thats a seperate thing.

I have had the passenger engine mount off recently and it was completely intact with no leaks. As the engine twists from the drivers side though when under load I think drivers engine mount could be the culprit?

Check the fluid is still inside your diff mounts.

Something's definitely wrong. Knackered CV joint?
