Default Help! Green key symbol flashing on dash and not starting

Help...

Not been on for a few months as life has been frantic and have not driven the S for a few weeks. Came to start it this afternoon and the green key symbol is flashing on the dash so I guess I have an immobiliser problem.

I don't have an H&P alarm/immobiliser, just the factory Honda immobiliser and no alarm.

I don't have a spare key so can't try that either.

What do I do next?

ARGH!!! 3 days before my driving holiday!!

Charge up the battery first of all.

I'll give it a go. The battery is only about 9 months old and has plenty of kick when turning it over but if you think it'll help I've got nothing to loose...

Well, the fact that it's been sat for a few weeks means that the battery is the most likely cause. I'm sure the NW lot will be able to assist further.

The battery does all sorts of strange stuff if it's not charged.

Well now I'm confused.

Left the key in the ignition while I came inside to do some more searching and to look for the battery charger. Couldn't find it so went back out to the car. Checked the ECU for codes, nothing. Forced a clear anyway, tried the key again and green light off and car starts.

Key out and back in, car starts.

No fookin idea what or why but it starts...

Yours

Time to give it a sound thrashing, Basil Fawlty style.
