If it was me personally i would wait and get Daytona Dave/ Ray to do it if hes willing too. You only have to see the garage thread to see his quality of workmanship. He will give you a no BS assessment of the situation.

The guys are right alot of independents can do the job but as its a rare job you would rather it not be your car that they experiment on. You want someone who knows the engine quite well.

I've done mine myself and don't remember any special tools being required?!

Special tools? What special tools does he need?

It's all standard stuff if you know what you're doing, if they can replace an mx5 HG then there is nothing they can't replace on the S2k?! Having said that they obviously can't be that good.....
