Thanks for all reply guys. It's definitely 215/35 on the rear (which are a 18x9). It doesn't handle terribly and I'm not against a non-stagger fitment (see Amuse R1 street setup). However it does need improving to be more of a daily driver.

Changing the tyres to a 225/40 front and 245/35 rear should be close to the stock rolling radius. So this shouldn't affect the gearing however the weight of an 18" wheel may affect acceleration.

I'll look into finding out the exact offset of the wheels. In the meantime it looks like staggered tyres, ride height and geometry.

I remember being corrected once can't remember who by that 18in wheels with the right rolling diamiter rubber were lighter than 17in. as the rubber/steel was heavier than the alloy. I don't know how accurate that is personally I prefer 17's I think they just look right for the car.

My brothers old s2000 had 18" volk wheels, and it handled extremely well,we also weighed his volk wheels against my 17" oe wheels(his wheels had 255 bk/225 front mine were 245 bk/215 front) now I can't remember the exact figures, but front wheels were almost identical and his back wheels were a tad heavier, maybe 1.5kg heavier.

18in tyres will be heavier than 17in. I guess the wheels themselves probably work out about the same if you put them on scales, but in use there's still the issue of the mass being half an inch further out, which will affect acceleration.

But you won't notice that in reality. Just the terrible ride.
