Default Help, rear view mirror fell off

Went to adjust my rear view mirror recently and it fell off in my hand.
It seems to have left the metal clip on the screen and the mirror is still in one piece. But when i clip it back on its loose and moves and rattles as i drive, very annoying!
There's a metal plate on the back of the mirror part that clips onto the screen that's adjustable with a screw, but however much i adjust it it won't stop moving around or if too tight won't clip back on at all.

Any help would be great!

Can post pics if that helps

It's a bitch to put back on, so much so that I gave in and got the dealer to do it ...

I wouldn't worry too much, take the Italian view "whats behind you doesn't matter"

You should be going faster than them anyway.

Thanks for the info, sorted it last night. Even put some padding in there to stop it vibrating with every... little... bump!

You only need two mirrors, one being the drivers side mirror.
