I guess the S800 was made a long time ago based on this theory of dating Honda cars.
(I think the 2000 relates to the engine capacity).

This was my thoughts (capacity) but perhaps a bit of both. I'm surprised they didn't go with S2K given all the Y2K noise at the time.

NO NO NO. Chuck is right. The S660 that was released in 2015 was initially designed in 660 BC. It was just sooooo futuristic Time Travelling Honda engineers decided to wait until 2015 so that people's heads wouldn't literally explode.

Sorry for off topic.

I can confirm that a year 2009 build has the number "9" at position 10.
Vehicle was first registered late June 2010.

Sure stick up a video of the problem, never had an issue on track with semi slicks. Just be aware that if it is fuel starvation and you're flat out you can wave bye bye to your engine...

Not mine but pretty much exactly the same symptoms as my car.

Interesting! The petrol gauge is pretty terrible and very inconsistent, I find that when it shows empty, there is still at least 5 Litres in the tank(though that is probably similar for most cars), so a third full should have a fair bit more than that. I do find the last third on the gauge seems to drop quicker than say from full to 2/3s though.

Not sure what the tank capacity is but I managed to get 38 litres in when I filled it up straight after it happened.

Searching the site found quite a few threads where people are complaining about it happening s high as 3/4 full on track.

Have a search its quite an interesting topic especially the ones where people have documented how they fixed the issue.
