Added a couple of bits and pieces to it. flushed front K&N filter with the original air box Rear OE low spoiler Mugen CF gear knob Bits I've brought but still to put on Front OE splitter Side skirts Decat pipe https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.s2k...03caf48217.jpg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.s2k...39777c6de0.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.s2k...3841684a5f.jpg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.s2k...6c5b687f29.jpg Regards, Loz. |

Hi, welcome, orange is nice. |
not heard of cat N before, what did you have to do? parts for these can be a real bitch
orange isnt my fave colour but then it aint my car, looks tidy.. i like. |
CAT N is bodywork damage with no damage to the Chassis itself no need to have a test to get back on the road. I replaced both front wings, crash bar, front bumper, under trays, one headlight unit and the airbag units. Re-sprayed both front wings and bumper back to the Imola Orange colour, all in all about 1k in parts and paint. It took about a week in total to get it back on the road.

All the parts I sourced were from Ebay

yeah, you can see why the insurer would shy away. mine had minor front end damage but a new headlight is over £700 alone i think..
mine had to have entire front end painted from a destroyed bumper so cost thousands and the wing badges took the paint off so had to do the doors too.. i imagine that Orange might be hard to match too so the risk of customer rejecting it. |
£1k, wow! I've had front wings replaced before (neighbour reversed into me) and to do just one cost over £1k. (most of that was painting as the wings themselves aren't too expensive)
Do you own a car repair shop? |
That is quite impressive and it looks like it's turned out well.
It's usual to have to chase imola all round the car, as it is difficult to match. I know that happened to a long beach blue NSX. What started off as a minor front bumper repair turned into a respray. |

Yes the Orange was very hard to match to the rest of the body! It has 2 stages to it to make the pearl, a ground coat which looks like a mustard yellow then the main coat which changes it to the orange then the lacquer. |
