Yes but you will require a fixing kit too which. Couple in the FS section right now actually

You can yes, but you'll need to find not only the roof, but also the fitting kit to mount it. I think roof seems to sell for around £700, and the kit between £200-400.

Yes but in the eyes of the DVLA it will never be a GT, and the top and fixing kit won't leave much change from a grand. My roadster is out in all weathers and is only just coming up for it's first top replacement at 17 years old.

As above, if you're only getting a hard top because you think it needs protection from winter, don't bother. Plus, you don't have a garage to keep it in and it'll just take up space in your lounge!

Strongly agree with last two posts. Take good care of the hood and it should be fine. I sold my hardtop/brackets a while back (for about £1k) after getting fed up with tripping over it in the conservatory. Got room for my bicycle now :-)

Any advice in what to do to prolong the life of the soft roof?

'Never judge a car by its mileage'

A higher mileage car will immediately be classed as having issues, although if it's maintenance upkeep has been well documented and it drives well, then IMO I would decide after a test drive.

Theres an S2000 on the forum with over 300k miles on the clock and still running standard engine..

Clean it, protect the areas that split/wear (plenty of threads on this) and keep it supple with a UV protector (303, or another vinyl treatment). And clean the drain holes.

I've now had 5 S2000's!
From pain full experience of siezed bushes, disintegration radiators and rust I would 100% go with the lowest mileage car you can!
This does assume the condition reflects the mileage, but this another cna of worms!
