I'd prefer the charger to be further back and to keep my aircon though.. it has been a consideration! Especially as I believe the people behind the kit are just up the road. Maybe if they do a similar one to the hks they can use mine as a test bed?

The problem is if you do abit of reading on the TTS kits then you hear alot of horror stories regarding cracked brackets, pulley failures etc. When they go wrong they also seem pretty expensive to fix.

HKS kit could be good if it proves reliable.

I was one of the first to get a TTS SC fitted on my car. I had a lot of problems with the original setup but they changed the bracket design just over three and a half years ago IIRC and since then I have replaced the bearings in the pulleys once and haven't had to touch it at all in the past 2 years.

TTS offer a 2yr warranty on their kit, I don't see anyone else offering this

Personally ESEM i wouldn't go with the TTS or the HKS kit as i think the SOS kit has a proven track record and is a decent price. It seems alot more robust and i haven't read of many problems.

2 year warranty is good but i would be interested in reading the small print and seeing exactly what it covers.

Having watched Ultra_Nexus (Ron) install a SOS kit a couple of years ago, he commented that many of the fixtures and fittings that were provided were below the quality level he was content with and risked an engine fire if anything failed - which he indicated they were vulnerable to.

I'm quite interested in what this HKS kit can manage. Despite the location of the charger itself, HKS are very clued up on tuning and must have fitted it there for good reason. In the same light, many, many manufacturers have inlet manifolds sitting over the block itself yet the setup works well.

I think supporting mods on the HKS option are where it could really distance itself from the competition - you could run a V-Mount with this setup.

Interesting, I'm fitting a TTS kit in the summer and noticed recently that my 10yr old radiator is starting to become 'delicate'! Hence I will do the rad then (or maybe now, as I have emptied it of coolant for a Head gasket replacement). Is the mishimoto rad a direct replacement, with improved performance?
