HKS is a 3 dry layer filter... I tried cleaning it with K&N and it ruined it and effected my boost levels.

Can anyone send me their settings in AEM ECU for aircon compensation.
Mine has been repaired now and I need to configure it as it almost stalls when it kicks in.

Thanks

John it should be in your map file. If you want I can dig mine out and send over and you can compare the values? Obviously dont write my map file to your ECU ;-)

Not sure if anyone has bothered to change the oil on their HKS supercharger yet. I noticed mine was getting abit black and i ordered a bottle from Si ages ago.

Tip for anyone planning on changing it. Drain the fluid out of the reservoir, disconnect both pipes. Put the pipe that comes back from the charger into a waste oil container and then put some low pressure air down the other pipe that leads to the oil filter. I managed to push pretty much all of the oil out using this method. Obviously dont go mad with this method because you could damage the seals in the supercharger but aslong as there is abit of positive pressure it will push the old oil through and out.

Also i wouldn't be too fussed about the charger running dry after a change. I filled up the reservoir to the top and cranked it for a few seconds and it sucked all of the fluid out in no time. As long as you ensure it doesn't run dry i think there is very little chance of damaging the charger while it purges the air out. Mine is now nicely topped up and looking clean. No noticeable change to the charger noise.

It is also worth noting that there is two types of charger fluid and i opted for the stuff suited for warmed climates because the UK is quite mild compared to other places. I cant remember what went in it first time round when i installed the kit.

What does the new fluid look like, is it nice and blue like the rotrex one?
