The walbro is abit noisey but to be honest after a few starts you get used to it. I tried another brand of pump that packed in on the first turn of the key which meant taking the hanger out again and starting all over. Would be a pain if someone had to pay the labour twice.

I would go with the walbro just because if you get a genuine one you know exactly what your getting in terms of flow and performance. Some of the other pumps available are abit dubious in their claims. Plus the other positive for me is that i could mount the Walbro pump at the same height as the OEM one so in theory i should have no issues with fuel surge

The walbro does not seem any louder for me once the car is running - cant even hear it, but it is very very audible when you first turn the key and the pump primes.

Where did you get the ID's from mate? Cheapest I can find for what I'd be comfortable with them being genuine is £385 from CPL Racing - Walbro pump is priced at £85 on Tegiwa.

Keep an eye on H-tune on Facebook. They usually have pretty sweet deals on the id1000s
